Castillo de Locubin is a small, traditional, Andalusian white village (pueblo blanco) nestled above the San Juan River amidst olive groves and cherry orchards in the Sierra Sur de Jaén.With a population of just over 5,000, it is a safe, peaceful and quiet place to live. Castillo de Locubin is about 45 minutes from Granada city and the majestic snowcapped Sierra Nevada Mountains and ski resorts whilst Malaga airport and the beaches of the Costa del Sol are just a couple of hours away. The best beaches of the Costa Tropical of Granada at Salobrena are less well known but only about 90 minutes by car.
